Ms Xian Hui is a Dietetics with Nutrition graduate from the International Medical University, Malaysia in 2021.
She underwent clinical, community, and food service training at Hospital Tuanku Ja’afar, Seremban (HTJS) and Klinik Kesihatan Ampangan. She has conducted a nutritional educational webinar ‘Take Action, Reduce Tension’, created various educational materials for nutritional management in dysphagia, hypertension, dyslipidemia (high cholesterol), type 2 diabetes mellitus, and gestational diabetes mellitus. She had published a journal on ‘Taste Sensitivity and Taste Preference among Malay Children Aged 7 to 12 years in Kuala Lumpur – A Pilot Study’.
From her previous training experience as an intern, she has developed experience in dietetics counselling, giving health talks to small groups on hypertension, conducting group education about cardiovascular health and gestational diabetes management, analyzing nutrients from menus, moderating webinars, and presented a nutrition case study poster in the 26th MDA Conference.
Currently as a dietitian at Beacon Hospital, Xian Hui continues her mission to provide evidence-based nutrition care. She is passionate in weight management, cancer, blood pressure, blood sugar, and blood cholesterol control, and advocating healthy and mindful eating lifestyles in general to enhance the quality and healthy well-being of the community.
