It is with great sadness to learn that the devastating flood in the East Coast has not only destroyed homes, leaving thousands homeless but has also left many of the victims down with various diseases.

Beacon International Specialist Centre has pledged to provide medical treatment to the victims for six consecutive weeks to help alleviate the sufferings of our brothers and sisters.

We were able to gather our resources within a week and deployed our first team to Kg Gajah and Guchil to provide on-the-ground medical assistance. Our team provided door-to-door consultation and treated a total of 30 patients in Kg Gajah. The next day, our team set up a static consultation hub at Guchil where more than 70 patients were treated for various diseases including skin infections such as scabies and lice infestation.

Our team will again be leaving for the flood areas this weekend with more volunteers.
