What do I need to bring for my visit?

The following information is important for all foreign patients:

Travelling to Kuala Lumpur

Many airlines fly from major destinations to Kuala Lumpur daily. Kindly note that your arrival destination by air is Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) or our spanking-new low-cost terminal Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA2).

Try not to plan your return date too soon after your operation/treatment. You are advised to allow for an extra two or three days for recovery or missed consultations.

It is better to have Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) ready for payment, especially if using taxis or purchasing transit tickets.

English is widely spoken in Malaysia, making communication with transport providers relatively easy for international patients. Additionally, Malay is the national language of Malaysia, and as such, most Malaysians can understand Indonesian, as it shares similarities with Malay.

Transportation to Beacon Hospital

Beacon Hospital is located in Petaling Jaya; considered one of the most important urban centres in the Klang Valley and Greater Kuala Lumpur. The journey from KLIA/ KLIA2 takes approximately 50 minutes, depending on the traffic conditions.

We offer a shuttle service for your convenience, available for airport pick-up and transportation to your chosen hotel, as well as for commuting to Beacon Hospital on your treatment days. A standard rate will be applied, which will be clearly stated on your bill.

Alternatively, you can opt for public transport with several options such as KLIA Ekspres Train, Bus, E-Hailing and Aiport Taxi. You can plan your journey using apps such as Google Maps or Moovit, which provide real-time transit information, including routes, schedules, and fares.

Medical Reports

Bring all your previous medical reports and imaging films to be reviewed by our doctors during your consultation.

By cash/credit card

Contact your bank/credit card issuer prior to making your visit. Kindly inform them of your travel date and destination.
If you plan to use your credit card for making large payments, please inform your bank in advance in order to avoid any unexpected payment delays.

Meals

For patients admitted for treatment, meals will be provided.
For relatives/caregivers who are accompanying the patient, food is available at the cafeteria in the hospital or at nearby F&B outlets
