Early detection saves lives!
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in Malaysia, and it is on the rise. According to the Summary of National Cancer Registry 2012–2016, breast cancer is the commonest cancer amongst females and the trend of incidence in 2012–2016 is similar to 2007–2011. 1 in 19 Malaysian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. This means that every day, 23 new cases of breast cancer are diagnosed in Malaysia.
“The key to improving survival is EARLY DETECTION of Breast Cancer through Regular SCREENING.”
With the aim of raising breast cancer awareness and to encourage more women 40 years and above to come forward for regular screening, Beacon Hospital is now offering a Mammogram Screening Campaign, under its CSR programme, at a subsidised rate of RM39.
