Beacon Hospital Marks a Historic Collaboration in Oncology

On 24 July 2025, Beacon Hospital proudly announced a groundbreaking partnership with RSUP (Rumah Sakit Umum Pemerintah) Soeradji Tirtonegoro in central Java, one of Indonesia’s premier Vertical Hospitals under the Ministry of Health Indonesia. The collaboration focuses on knowledge transfer in Oncology, strengthening Beacon Hospital’s position as a leader in cancer care.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Dato’ Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim A Wahid, Medical Director and Consultant Clinical Oncologist of Beacon Hospital and Dr. Solahuddin Rhatomy, Medical Director of RSUP Soeradji Tirtonegoro, formalising this milestone partnership.

As part of the visit, our team had the opportunity to tour RSUP Soeradji’s newly expanded Oncology building, gaining insights into cutting-edge cancer care facilities. Through this collaboration, Beacon Hospital became the first private hospital in Malaysia recognised by Indonesia’s Vertical Hospital as a referral center for modern cancer treatment.
