Beacon Hospital's Mammogram Bus is a mobile 3D mammogram screening initiative designed to improve access to breast screening by bringing mammogram closer to workplaces, community organisations, events and selected outreach locations.
Available for CSR outreach and corporate screening arrangements
The Beacon Hospital Mammogram Bus is a mobile screening initiative that supports access to 3D mammogram screening beyond the hospital setting. It is developed to serve workplaces, community organisations, events and selected locations where eligible women may benefit from more convenient access to breast screening.
The screening is generally recommended for women aged 40 years old and above. Eligibility may also be subject to suitability assessment where applicable, including screening history, medical background and operational screening criteria.
3D mammography, also known as breast tomosynthesis, is a breast imaging technology that captures multiple images of the breast from different angles to create a more detailed three-dimensional view for screening assessment.
3D mammography may help healthcare professionals assess breast tissue in greater detail during screening.
The imaging approach may support the review of smaller abnormalities that require further medical assessment.
Multiple image angles may help reduce the effect of overlapping breast tissue during image review.
Detailed image views may assist doctors and radiology teams in the screening assessment process.
Clearer imaging may help reduce unnecessary additional imaging in selected screening situations.
Advocate early detection and increase awareness in communities.
Beacon Hospital offers two main Mammogram Bus arrangements:

The Mammogram Bus visits corporate offices and workplace events to provide convenient on-site 3D mammogram screening services for eligible employees.
The Mammogram Bus arrangement is coordinated with Beacon Hospital to ensure that the location, date, participant flow and screening requirements are suitable before the session is confirmed.
Organisation submits an enquiry to Beacon Hospital for CSR or corporate screening arrangement.
Screening date, venue suitability and operational requirements are reviewed with the team.
Eligible participants are scheduled according to available slots and screening criteria.
Mammogram screening is conducted on-site by trained healthcare personnel.
Results and follow-up recommendations are provided where applicable according to hospital process.
Mobile screening can help reduce access barriers by bringing breast screening closer to workplaces and communities. It also supports health awareness initiatives and encourages eligible women to take a more proactive approach to breast health.
