What is oculoplastic surgery?

Oculoplastic surgery is done to correct deformities and abnormalities on the eye and its surrounding structures. These include the eyelids, orbits (eye sockets), and lacrimal (tear) system. Otherwise known as ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive, it involves a range of complex surgical procedures to address eye complications, while enhancing and preserving your facial appearance following eye diseases or injuries.
