As we mark Sarcoma Awareness Month this July, it is time to spotlight a silent warning sign that many people ignore: painless swelling.
While it is natural to think “if it doesn’t hurt, it can’t be serious,” this assumption can be dangerous. Dr. Choong Chee Leong, Consultant Orthopaedic Oncologist, warns that a painless lump or swelling could be a sign of sarcoma, a rare but potentially aggressive cancer affecting the soft tissues and bones.
