Datuk Dr. Devanand is a Consultant Breast Surgeon at Beacon Hospital, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. He participated in numerous National and International conferences and maintained memberships of several international bodies, including the European School of Oncology. He received Fellowship of the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia in year 2000 and is now a practicing Breast Surgeon with interest in the new developments and treatment of breast cancer whilst promoting breast cancer awareness / supportive care.

He conducted numerous Pink Ribbon Campaigns throughout the country from year 2001 and won the Asian Hospital Management Award for best ‘Marketing, PR and Promotions’ for Pantai Hospital Breast Cancer Education and Awareness Campaign of 2005.

He formed the Pink Ribbon Wellness (L) Foundation (PRWF), Malaysia in Feb 2012 with the support of several breast cancer survivors. It is now an active organisation in the education of women on breast care, advocacy on prevention, regular screening and early detection of breast cancer whilst supporting cancer survivors with the aim of better understanding of their disease and improving cancer survivorship.

In 2012, 2015 and 2018 PRWF conducted THREE very large breast cancer survivors’ conferences – ‘Life Beyond Breast Cancer Conference (LBBC), in Kuala Lumpur.
