As part of Beacon Hospitalโs ongoing CSR efforts, our second medical mission was deployed to communities severely affected by Cyclone Senyar in Aceh, which struck late last year and caused extensive damage to villages and infrastructure, limiting access to healthcare.
On 22 and 23 January 2026, a dedicated team of 10 Beacon Hospital personnel led by Datoโ Dr Mohamed Ibrahim A Wahid, Consultant Clinical Oncologist visited Tamiang (Kg Kota Lintang, Kuala Simpang, Aceh Tamiang, Kg Dalam Karang Batu) and Tanjung Pura (Dusun 1, Desa Pekubuan), providing medical check-ups, treatment and distributing essential medicines to the local community.
During this mission, we treated approximately 400 patients. We also distributed school bags and stationery to children, as well as toiletries to affected families.
We are deeply grateful for the support, assistance and warm hospitality extended to us. We are humbled by this experience and remain hopeful that the lives of the people of Aceh will return to normal as soon as possible.
We would like to extend our deepest appreciation to all partners who made this humanitarian mission possible.
